Dance Degree Project: Sigrid Sjöholm

Sigrid Sjöholm:
-practical, efficient, necessary-

A necessary movement is a practical movement that is in relation to survival and sprung out of urgency.
It is a movement that is always in relation to something else, and therefore is a result of, and results in, something.
Necessary moving is moving out of self-defence and preservation rather than moving out of an aspired aesthetic, sensation or desire to express or perform.
How can that be manifested on a stage in a dance performance?
Choreographer: Sigrid Sjöholm
Featuring: Cornelia Andersson/Wilma Seppälä/Sigrid Sjöholm.
